The Weekend Box Office Numbers Are In, And …
The Fockers have trumped True Grit.
As our own Hustler De Tuti Hustlers Paul Heyman would say, "There’s no accounting for taste!"
Ben Stiller and Robert De Niro’s third installment of the Focker franchise took in an estimated $34 million over the holiday weekend, beating out Joel and Ethan Coen’s western adventure, True Grit, which opened with a stronger-than-expected $25.6 million.
The 3D sci-fi flick Tron Legacy pulled in an estimated $20.1 million.
