As THE HEYMAN HUSTLE reported earlier this evening, UFC LIGHT HEAVYWEIGHT CHAMPION JON JONES WAS ARRESTED ON SUSPICION OF DRIVING UNDER THE INFLUENCE and we posted some very sage advice from our own Hustler De Tuti Hustlers Paul Heyman to the champ on how to handle this explosive controversy.
Paul continued his conversation with our HustleTweeters this evening, offering more advice to Jones.Sayeth our boss: “Without pontificating, Jon Jones has a real chance here to demonstrate grace under pressure. The Lawrence Taylors and Tysons and Tiger Woods’ of this world fall from grace because they go into “spin control”. I’ve learned, through more error than trial, that coming out a better person because of your mistakes is the best spin. If Jon Jones handles this with class, dignity, and style, he’ll be a bigger star and better spokesman for it. NO ONE is above mistakes. Handling the fallout and maintaining one’s dignity is what heroes are truly made of. I’m not saying Jones WILL handle things this way. I don’t know. But we’re going to soon find out, and will be MOST fascinating to watch.”
