"Fight For The Troops" Gets A Slugout Matchup!
Pat Barry, who recently became part of BROCK LESNAR’S DEATH CLUTCH CAMP, has signed to fight Joey Beltran on January 22, 2011 as part of Ultimate Fight Night 23, which will serve as the 2nd "Fight For The Troops" event in Fort Hood, Texas.
Barry is coming off a loss to his hero Mirko Cro Cop at UFC 115. His previous fight before the Cro Cop loss was a victory over Antoni Hardonk at UFC 104. Beltran was upset via unanimous decision at UFC 119, losing to Matt Mitrione.
“UFC Fight Night 23″ is also scheduled to feature a lightweight bout between Kenny Florian and Evan Dunham. Another lightweight fight is also scheduled between Yves Edwards and Melvin Guillard. As of now, it appears the event will be picked up by SpikeTV.
