Aubrey O'Day wants to be a multi-media superstar.
This is not just some statement with which to kick off an exclusive story on the controversial 25 year old entertainer. Just spend a little time with Aubrey, and you'll realize she juggling a lot of projects, and she cares quite passionately about every one of them.
"I know it's a cliche, but I'm trying to build a brand," Aubrey said in her luxurious Planet Hollywood Casino penthouse suite in Las Vegas, "like my BFF Jenna Jameson. She's a brand, she's an icon, she's gorgeous, and she's a business woman!"
Aubrey, who skyrocketed to fame as the lead singer of Sean "Diddy" Combs' Danity Kane girl band, has since gotten rave reviews for her portrayl of Amber Von Tussen in the Broadway show "Hairspray," and then jumped right into the world of reality television.
"She's an incredibly hard worker," Hustle Director of Photography Ron Buffone stated, "just watching that episode of THE HEYMAN HUSTLE (CLICK HERE TO SEE THE VIDEO), she was on her blackberry, doing deals, posing for photos with supermodel Jaslene Gonzalez (CLICK HERE), dealing with her then-bandmates, all the while she was being followed around by MTV cameras at the same time. She may come across as the ultimate party girl, but she knows exactly what she's doing at all times."
Now that Aubrey has conquered the bright lights of Broadway, it's time to take on The Vegas Strip. Starting September 14, Aubrey will once again work with her "Hairspray" choreographer Jerry Mitchell in what is described as "a perfectly naughty night out for men, women and couples too" with choreography that "combines sexy striptease and celebrity with high-level production values" when she takes over the role of "Peep Diva" the shows' Mistress of Ceremonies. The role was once played by former Spice Girl Mel B, and will see Aubrey share the stage with fellow Hustle favorite and Playboy Girl Next Door Holly Madison (CLICK HERE FOR THE HOLLY HUSTLE).
