Say what you want about jolly ol' Nick ... bad toupees, rotten financial investments, a string of movies in which he always has the same kind of scenes, that annoying nasal voice ... but this clip seems to capitalize on everything that's wrong with the real life nephew of "Godfather" and "Apocalypse Now" director Francis Ford Coppola, and that's just so right!
The film, which comes from British film producer Matthew Vaughn's MARV Films, and there's a helluva story behind his life as well. First of all, the lucky bastard is married to Claudia Schiffer. Then comes the story about who HIS daddy really is.
According to reports, Vaughn was born in London, England. He was brought up to believe that his biological father was the actor Robert Vaughn. Remember him? "The Man From U.N.C.L.E.? Well, the story goes that Matthew's mother, a whore lovely actress Kathy Ceaton, had been in a relationship with Robert Vaughn at the time of Matthew's conception and birth, but the relationship was at its breaking point and Robert Vaughn had always denied that he was Matthew's father.
So, of course it all goes to court. The paternity of Matthew Vaughn was resolved in the 1980's in the Superior Court of Los Angeles, when it was determined Matthew's biological father is in fact George Albert Harley Drummond, who for some stupid reason is also known as George de Vere Drummond. This dude was a small time British aristocrat, but got some outrageous poon tang because he was the Godson to the late King George VI, and Godfather to model Jodie Kidd. Not a bad life. Following the resolution, Matthew adopted (for private use) the name Matthew de Vere Drummond. He's still known as Matthew Vaughn. Hey, it's so confusing, we're sorry we ever brought it up.
