Russell Brand's Controversial Fiancee Is Both Risque and Religious At The Same Time!
Katy Perry, who became a global superstar by singing "I kissed a girl .. and I liked it" thinks there is too much ignorance to religious values in music today.
HUH?
We're not kidding.
Despite her recent daring and baring photo spread for Rolling Stone, and even her own Teenage Dream album cover, Katy says she's still rather modest about some things.
In that Rolling Stone interview, Katy talks about her fiancee Russell Brand, as well as Lady Gaga in particular. Says Katy, "I am sensitive to Russell taking the Lord's name in vain and to Lady Gaga putting a rosary in her mouth. I think when you put sex and spirituality in the same bottle and shake it up, bad things happen."
Katy has lambasted Lady Gaga before. After Gaga's "Alejandro" music video debuted, Katy was quite vocal about the scene where Gaga looked to be swallowing a rosary. Katy even tweeted, "Using blasphemy as entertainment is as cheap as a comedian telling a fart joke."
For those thinking Katy is a bit of hypocrite, she has a reply for you. "Yes, I said I kissed a girl," Katy said very matter-of-factly, "But I didn't say I kissed a girl while fucking a crucifix!"
